5 things to do in Plano this fall

Plano, TX is such a wonderful city with so much to do. The problem is finding time for all this. Autumn is also the ideal time of the year. You are finally escaping a terrible summer and temperatures are starting to drop slightly. Whether you want to have a fun night out with friends or head to a beautiful park to play with the kids, Small World Moving TX presents to you some fun things to do in Plano this fall.

Visit the festival

Don’t worry about having fun after moving with movers Plano TX. There are so many autumn festivals – almost one every weekend! Hopefully, the weather is favorable and you can visit one or all of them with your family this fall. Be sure to check out the Plano Balloon Festival, the CUMC Family Fun Fest, the International Festival, and the SteinFest.

Art and wine walk

This event takes place in the center of Plano on the second Thursday of every month from April to December. This is a sip and shop selling event where you can sip wine and shop in local stores while listening to live music. Tickets are pre-purchased for $12 or $18 at the door.

Visit the pumpkin patch

There are so many great local pumpkin patches to visit. Some are really big and full of mazes, animals, and hayfields, others are smaller and less interesting. However, they are fun to do at this time of year. You can drive quite far north and spend the whole day at the Orange Pumpkin Farm or even at the Autumn at the Arboretum. These are 2 places that really do their best to keep the kids and the whole family entertained.

Attend a safe trick or treat event

Many churches and other places are now offering safer and family-friendly alternatives to traditional trick or treats. This is usually during the daytime and is really fun for kids (especially younger ones). More and more people are organizing trunk-or-treat-style festivals that are fun too. Plano is hosting an event called Boo Bash, hosted by the Parks and Recreation Department. On October 27th, Heritage Farmstead hosts a trick or treat on the farm, and the Custer Road Methodist Church always has a trick or treat that will also be free to the community. They are fun, safe, and a great way for your kids to benefit from their costumes!

Check out the Hub Streat

Hub Streat is new to Plano but full of fun. It’s a food truck stop that has become a place to meet friends, have a drink at night, or take the kids for a fun afternoon lunch. Dogs are also allowed on site! Food vans change weekly, so check back every night on their Facebook page. With chilly weather, it will be a great place to meet friends and catch up.
